Vicente Silva House

At 225 Moreno Street, one block south of the Old Town Plaza, stands a stone house of unsurpassed myth and charm. Reputed to be the house of legendary Las Vegas outlaw Vicente Silva (though disputed by some), the house has been rehabilitated by the La Plaza Vieja Partnership. Contrasting bands of tan and red sandstone on the front facade are punctuated by elegant Palladian windows and doors. This composition can be described as a local, folk expression of the Renaissance Revival style. No doubt Vicente Silva and his henchmen roamed this neighborhood, but did they gamble and cavort in this house?
