#24 The Francisco Lopez House, 1402-10 South Pacific Street; Built ca. 1870

This was known as the house of Francisco Lopez, a leading local politician at the turn of the century and probably also the Jesuit School for Boys. The intersection of roof gables betrays the house's U shape (actually these are two houses joined together), and the spindle work columns add a delicate touch to an otherwise massive house. Now proceed back north to the Old Town Plaza (you should see it up ahead), where the tour began and ends.
