The Presbyterian Mission was surprisingly similar to Spanish Colonial missions built 250 years before in that it combined locally available materials (adobe) the simplest Christian church style (single nave) and the prevailing Mexican residential form (the residential courtyard is now demolished). To that add a Classical temple front with exceptionally fine examples of Territorial Style woodwork.
